Diagnostics & Support
Our patient journey has been carefully designed to provide a comprehensive, step-by-step approach to diagnosing, treating, and supporting individuals with ADHD. Learn more about our process below.

1. Register with Us
During registration, you'll have the opportunity to upload any referrals or supporting information.

2. Initial Assessments
To help us understand your needs, we’ll guide you through a simple process that includes sharing information about your medical history, sleep patterns, mood, substance use, and key health details like blood pressure, pulse, height, and weight. We’ll also ask you to complete a QbCheck Assessment.

3. Meet with a Psychiatrist
In a 60 to 90-minute online or in-person consultation, one of our experienced psychiatrists will take the time to understand your symptoms, medical history, and any challenges you’re facing.
The goal of this appointment is to provide a thorough, evidence-informed assessment, along with clear recommendations for next steps in your care. While this may lead to an ADHD diagnosis, that’s not always the outcome. In some cases, your symptoms may be better explained by another condition, or additional information may be needed before a diagnosis can be made.
If you do meet the diagnostic criteria, you’ll receive a diagnosis along with a personalised treatment and support plan. If further appointments are recommended to ensure an accurate understanding, this will be clearly discussed with you.

4. Medication Management
If you are diagnosed with ADHD and choose to include medication in your treatment plan, our psychiatrist will organise your prescription.
To assess how well your medication is working, we’ll ask you to complete a second QbCheck to compare your results before and after treatment.

5. Follow up appointments
Follow-up appointments are scheduled as needed. Many people find that one or more follow-up consultations can be helpful to ensure their symptoms are being optimally managed and to adjust their treatment plan as needed. There’s no set number - you’re welcome to book as many follow-ups as you feel are helpful.

6. Online Coaching Sessions
As part of our process and support, we offer two complimentary coaching sessions. You’re welcome to bring someone close to you - whether a partner, family member, or friend who is part of your journey. These sessions provide valuable insights and practical tools to help you navigate ADHD with confidence.

If ADHD Is Not Diagnosed
Many conditions can mimic or overlap with ADHD symptoms, which is why a thorough assessment is so important - to help clarify what’s really going on. We encourage you to approach the process with an open mind rather than a fixed expectation of receiving an ADHD diagnosis.
If the assessment results indicate that you do not meet the diagnostic criteria for ADHD, you will still receive a comprehensive report outlining the findings and tailored recommendations for future care. You’re also very welcome to take part in our coaching sessions, which can still offer valuable insights and practical strategies to support your wellbeing and daily functioning.
